Description & Application:
Demulsifier surfactant is a nonionic surfactant used for dehydration, viscosity reducer, capable of removing water from crude oil and heavy oil to meet required moisture content standards. In oil wells, emulsion breakers reduces crude oil viscosity and prevents blockages. Viscosity modifier and depressant has a soapy odor, is easily soluble in water, and forms a milky-white aqueous solution.
In mixtures such as crude oil, some solids are insoluble in water. When these solids exist in large quantities in an aqueous solution and are agitated by hydraulic or external forces, they can remain in water in an emulsified state, forming an emulsion. Theoretically, this system is unstable, but if certain surfactants (such as soil particles) are present, the emulsified state becomes severe, making phase separation difficult.
