Pour point depressant (Viscosity modifier and depressant) is an important component of crude oil flow modifier and viscosity reducer, also known as low-temperature flow improver PPD (Pour Point Depressant). it is modify the properties of the base oil. They are a type of substance that can lower the freezing point (SP) of petroleum and oil products, and improve their low-temperature fluidity. Adding a small amount of pour point depressant can change the original crystalline state of paraffin, making it less likely to form a network structure, thereby reducing the freezing point of crude and heavy oils , improving its fluidity, and achieving the purpose of wax prevention.
