Vinyl polyethylene glycol ether (VPEG) refers to ether compounds with structural units composed of vinyl and polyethylene glycol. VPEG possesses hydrophilicity, flexibility, reactivity, surface activity, and safety stability, demonstrating broad application prospects in various fields such as biomedicine, construction engineering, electronic materials, coatings, and surfactants.
In the field of building materials, PCE based superplasticizer, Vinyl polyethylene glycol ether （VPEG） is mainly used as a large monomer for PCE concrete admixture monomer. By introducing polyether side chains through free radical polymerization, VPEG series enhances the steric hindrance effect on cement particles, thereby improving the fluidity and slump retention performance of concrete.
Products characteristics:
Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer Monomer VPEG3000/3600 series of products used in cement water reducer, it through the starting agent raw materials to change the molecular structure characteristics, so that the molecular structure of the unsaturated double bond directly connected with an oxygen atom, forming a group of C-O bond molecular structure. This change in molecular structure, so that the double bond electron cloud distribution is shifted, thus improving the charge environment of the unsaturated double bond in the macromonomer, so that the reactivity of the double bond in the macromonomer is much larger than that of the general macromonomer, and it is easier to carry out the polymerization reaction.
As the double bond in the molecule is a substitution structure, it further reduces the spatial resistance of the swinging of polyether side chain, which makes the swinging of the polyether side chain more free and the range of activity is larger; the increase of the freedom of the swinging of the polyether side chain improves the wrapping and entanglement of the polyether side chain, so that the synthesized polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent has a higher adaptability, especially for the case of the poor quality of sand and gravel materials and the high content of mud with remarkable effect.
With high double bond activity of monomer, the copolymerization chain growth reaction is easier to carry out, therefore the synthesis time of water reducing agent mother liquor can be shortened significantly.
